Signing a contract to launch an electronic platform “UAQ Business”

His Excellency / Khalfan Ahmed Misfer – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Umm Al Quwain Chamber – witnessed the signing of a contract to launch an electronic platform entitled “UAQ Business to showcase projects in the Emirate of Al Quwain.
The contract was signed on behalf of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry by Mr. Ahmed Obaid Ibrahim – Member of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber’s Board of Directors, and Mr. Ghanem Mubarak Al Muhairi, on behalf of Team x.
His Excellency Khalfan Ahmed Misfer, Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Directors, confirmed that this platform is a comprehensive reference for the various projects and companies that have been based in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. The application includes various commercial and industrial activities such as “cafes, restaurants, flower and gift shops, salons, fashion stores, sports clubs, and other activities.” In addition, an overview of each project will be presented, including (the logo, the trade name, the project’s website, and a brief about its products).

Signing a memorandum of understanding between
Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Dubai International Financial Center Courts

The Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Dubai International Financial Center Courts signed a memorandum of understanding in order to consolidate support and cooperation, and to provide an opportunity for the two parties to consult and exchange information among themselves in areas of common interest in an effort to enhance their strategic goals and interests.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Yousef Khalfan Tahnoun – Vice Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and His Excellency Judge Omar Juma Al Muhairi – Vice President of the Dubai International Financial Center Courts. In the presence of the gentlemen from the Umm Al Quwain Chamber: His Excellency / Khalfan Ahmed Misfer – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber and His Excellency / Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi – Director General of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber, and the signing was attended by the courts of the Dubai International Financial Center: Mr. Judge / Ali Shamis Al Madhani – First Appeal Judge and Head of International Relations for Judicial Affairs, His Excellency Judge / Nasser Hashem Al Nasser, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman Al Kamali – Director of Government and International Relations and the Office of the Chief of Courts.

VISIT OF THE CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA TO UMM AL QUWAIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

His Excellency / Yousef Khalfan Tahnoun, Vice Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the strengthening of relations between business owners in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain with their counterparts in friendly and brotherly countries, informing them of investment opportunities and exchanging ideas for the possibility of establishing investment partnerships.
This came through his meeting with Happily / K. Jandra Negara – Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in the country and his accompanying delegation at the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry building. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain and Indonesia on the one hand and the opportunity for mutual meetings and visits between business owners between the two sides on the other hand.
His Excellency the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors explained to His Excellency / K. Jandra Negara, the economic features enjoyed by the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain and the investment opportunities available in it, pointing out that the Emirate with its distinguished geographical location and the facilities it offers to investors facilitates the attraction of large and diversified projects.
For his part, the Consul of the Republic of Indonesia thanked the Vice President for the valuable information he provided on the economic, commercial, and investment aspects in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain and stressed the keenness of business owners in his country to communicate with their counterparts in Umm Al Quwain and discuss the possibility of establishing projects and partnerships between the two sides.
In conclusion, the Vice President thanked His Excellency the Consul of Indonesia in the country and stressed the Chamber’s readiness to provide facilities for those wishing Indonesian business owners to enter the field of investment in Umm Al Quwain, and the two parties exchanged shields and souvenirs.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is making a field visit to the courts of the Dubai International Financial Center

A delegation from the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by the Chamber’s Chairman, His Excellency Khalfan Misfer, visited the headquarters of the DIFC Courts based on a previous invitation and coordination. The President was accompanied on his visit by His Excellency / Ammar Rashid Al-Alili – Member of the Board of Directors and His Excellency / Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi – The Chamber’s Director-General – and he was receiving the delegation on behalf of the President of the Courts, His Excellency / Amna Al Owais – Chief Registrar of the Center – Judge Nasser Al Nasser and Professor / Ahmed Abdel Rahman Al Kamali – Director of Governmental and International Relations of the Office of the Chief Courts
After welcoming the delegation, Her Excellency / Amna Al Owais gave a detailed explanation about the general structure of the Dubai International Financial Center, then touched on the structure of the courts, its components, the terms of reference of these courts, their method of work and the laws they depend on, noting that the Dubai courts seek to expand their relations and provide their services locally, regionally and internationally for this. It gives attention to communication with the chambers of commerce and industry in the country to be a supporter and mediator with the business sector to approve the Dubai Financial Center Courts in their contracts and agreements.
For his part, His Excellency Judge Al Nasser welcomed the attendance and the pride of the Dubai International Financial Courts to communicate with the Chamber and with the Umm Al Quwain Center for Commercial Arbitration, stressing the importance of these meetings to develop cooperation mechanisms. His Excellency presented a brief overview of the DIFC Courts, the tasks they perform, the importance of coordination, and touched on civil law. And the types of cases that the courts deal with, in addition to a brief explanation on the implementation of the judgments of the Center’s courts and the procedures taken in their regard, and his Excellency also touched upon cooperation with the relevant authorities, including the chambers of commerce and arbitration centers, and the memoranda concluded with the authorities whether they are federal, local or international, as well as the Free Zones Authority.

His Excellency / Khalfan Misfer expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for receiving the DIFC Courts for the Chamber’s delegation, communicating with the Center, exchanging information, and benefiting from the court’s expertise, especially in the field of commercial arbitration. His Excellency praised the role and interest of the Center at its highest levels in creating the appropriate flexible mechanisms and environment to address legal disputes between the two sectors. Business, whether at the state level or the regional and international level, and His Excellency / Ammar Al-Ali – President of the Umm Al-Quwain Center for Conciliation and Commercial Arbitration – provided an overview of the center’s work and its procedures under the umbrella of the Chamber and the provisions of the Federal Arbitration Law and stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with the courts of the Dubai International Financial Center, especially And he possesses global experiences in the field of international arbitration.

The Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry received a delegation from the Serbian Businesswomen Council headed by His Excellency / Sandra Abramovich, the Council and a number of members, during their visit to a number of emirates of the country with the aim of opening up areas for investment and economic development. Umm Al Quwain Board of Directors holds its third periodic session

Chaired by His Excellency Khalfan Ahmed Misfer – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Umm Al Quwain Chamber – the Board of Directors, in the presence of their Excellencies members, held its third session on 2/22/2021 for its current session (2020-2023). The Board discussed the topics presented on its agenda, the most important of which is the follow-up to the report of the Chamber Building Committee Al Jadida, where His Excellency the Chairman of the Council – Chairman of the Building Committee – confirmed that there is a weekly follow-up between the committee, the consultant engineer and the engineers of the contracting company, and the committee has made an important way in selecting materials related to elevators, refrigeration, the technical system, designs and furniture.
The Council also discussed the general framework of the proposals regarding the proposed organizational structure of the Chamber in line with and in line with the Chamber’s role at this stage and discussed the reports presented by the permanent committees in the Chamber, each according to its competence.
The council discussed aspects related to the role of the Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla program for sponsoring youth projects and the importance of supporting this program to achieve its desired goals in supporting and developing the capabilities of entrepreneurs.
The Council also reviewed the proposals submitted by His Excellency the Director-General of the Chamber regarding the Chamber’s plans and programs for the remainder of the current year and took the appropriate decision regarding them
